Illinois Institute of Technology Benches

This transformation of an existing classroom building into the academic center for the Armour College of Engineering was made possible by a donation from the estate of the former university president John T. Rettaliata.  The transformation includes new prototypes for Interactive Teaching and Distinctive Education Initiatives, new classrooms, new laboratories, new skylights in a newly created atrium with areas for collaborator studies, and a new canopy marking the entrance and branding the building in honor of the donor. Under the canopy are custom designed concrete benches.
